Twitteratis request PM Modi to ask Mark Zuckerberg to stop Candy Crush notifications on Facebook

Delhi: As the news came in about Narendra Modi's impending visit to the Facebook headquarters in California on September 27 where he is scheduled to hold a town hall interaction with its CEO Mark Zuckerberg, requests poured in on social networking site Twitter asking the Prime Minister to intervene on the matter of Candy Crush notifications.

The Candy Crush Saga is a match-three puzzle video game released on April 12, 2012 for Facebook.

As per reports, as of March 2013, Candy Crush Saga surpassed FarmVille 2 as the most popular game on Facebook, with 46 million average monthly users.
The game is periodically updated, adding new 'episodes'.
However, there are many who find requests that they receive on FB to join 'Tiffi' and 'Mr Toffee' in the 'Candy Kingdom' annoying and bothersome.
With PM Modi inviting queries for the impending interaction with the Facebook CEO, many social media users asked the PM to get the Candy Crush notifications stopped.
Inviting questions, the PM said, "This programme will be incomplete without your participation. Share your questions on Facebook. I urge you all to share your questions on the 'Narendra Modi Mobile App.' Your questions will make this a programme to be remembered."
